Give me one Reason!

Give me one reason why I can’t,

When Eminem could shine having miserable childhood,
And Michael Jordan with bigger failures than I could ever imagine,

Why I can’t when I have determination like Mandela,
And perseverance like Ronaldo,

Why not me when Helen Killer could prosper,
And Stephen Hawking with bigger challenges could thrive,

Give me one reason why I can’t,

I am strong. I am young. I have nothing to lose.
Deep inside, I know I could be the one.

I have passion. I have dedication. I can work harder than anyone.

And I have talent to be the best in this world.
To shine like a rockstar! To thrive like a superstar!

You watch me.
I will Rise at the top. Conquer the world. And I will be the one.

Give me one reason why I can’t,
And I will you give hundreds on Why I can!

What pulls you off your bed?

"I find that when you have a real interest in life and a curious life, that sleep is not the most important thing."
--Martha Stewart

Its passion to strike cords with right alignment that pulls a phenomenal musician off his bed…..

Its hunger to deliver topic in every best possible ways to make his students understand, pulls a best teacher off his bed……

Its endless dedication in serving nation that pulls a prominent politician off his bed….

Its promise to deliver extraordinary values to his customer that pulls a Business empire off his bed every morning….

……while mediocre world keeps snoring on its warm bed till 8 in the morning.

The falling snow or rain outside don’t stop them….

The fear of being alone in the ride don’t impede them…

The petty criticisms or few obstacles don’t divert them…

They keep going their way. They cherish and enjoy their every moment in creating something of value….

In delivering something of importance.

In innovating something that world never saw.

So what is it that pulls you off your bed?

Or, what is it that keeps you awake all night long?

Is it your dream to be a dancer with something that world never witnessed?

Is it your vision to lead your organization or country to the Everest of success?

Is it your aim to be Messi of your career and Lady Gaga of your life?

Or is it to be Michael Jordan of your health.

…You can’t progress and be on the top of the game until there’s something more important than your sleep. Until there’s something that inspires you to throw blanket off. Until you wake up early every morning with the bigger picture in your mind.

What I found is when people has got nothing much to do they tend to sleep but when there’s something, maybe a goal, dream or vision  they don’t hesitate to leave bed early. Be it Benjamin Franklin who slept very few hours or Richard Branson who wake at 5 am live with inspiration to deliver best of the best to this world. Branson pulls himself off his bed with motivation to deliver best possible service to his costumers and that’s why he is able to have dream vacations on his private Necker Island.

Until you have vision that becomes your obsession you will not take a leap. You will not leave your bed. Your inclination for comfort will not fade away. You will not run extra mile.

Have vision to uplift others around you.

Have vision to be best of the world.

Have dreams to lead the profession with unique innovation and exceptional service.

Aspire to build your career so strong that no any storm or rough sea drowns you down. Plan to gift this world with your creation and thrive in your area so beautifully that world remember you for your work.

And this pulls you off your bed every morning. And you will start shining.

All Green Lights on,

Go get it until you make it: Lesson I learned this morning

I woke up and walked to my balcony this morning to see sun glowing big. It was vivid taking my all attention.

But I witnessed something down on the road that took away my heart…..

It inspired me, motivated me and made me think for a couple of hours on it. I learned about persistent determination we talk about all the time.

A man came with a bag full of Bananas to feed monkeys….. He shouted to call monkeys to offer what he has got. Within few minutes a group of monkey came along and he was throwing bananas at them all. I was happy to see him caring for animals and serving them while most are attacking them. Though monkeys here are overfed.

I noticed three kids of age around 9 or less, one of them was not wearing top and rest two wore torn. They had big sack of plastics and waste bottles. They walked toward that man and asked, “Sir, Please give us one banana each, please”. I expected there will be no issue for him to offer after-all he was there to serve needy. To my amazement he shouted and said, “Get lost you donkeys”. And continued throwing bananas toward monkeys. Monkeys ate half and threw rest, they seemed hungry no more. That man left.

This was the moment those kids were waiting for, I knew it later. But while that man fed monkeys they remained quiet and waited him to go. All of a sudden firing stated! It wasn’t bullet but pebbles. They were collecting handful of pebbles and started attacking monkeys until they left bananas down there and ran away!  One ran and picked bananas up while two provided cover for him with continued firing. They could have been attacked severely but they knew the risk and gone for what they wanted.

Those kids made me realize that:

1.      NO doesn’t mean its over, it rather mean Next Opportunity. It doesn’t mean you back off but go even harder for it. They could have left with those words from man but they chose not to.

2.      If you are determined; you are going to get it. Just like they persevered in difficult situation. You cannot get anything until you prove that you badly need that and you are dying to get it. It’s not easy as all great things require determination, hard work and suffering.

3.      Work as a team, everything is achievable. Had one guy been there the chances of getting what he wanted would have been very minimal. Teamwork always pays and this is the game changing skill you have to develop if you want to win. Learn to work with team.

4.      Take Risk! Risk! Risk. Stop dreaming bigger unless you are ready to take risk. It is well said that if you stop taking risk, you stop living life. Why afraid of failure when you can win?  Why compromise for less when you can have much?

Go get it until you make it.
My heartiest gratitude for reading this post. Please remember knowing alone is not enough for success, you have to put them into actions. Please, Please, Please take action NOW!

With all blessings,
Bijay

Your growth question: Here to where?

Few days ago, I had been to highly transforming event called National Achiever’s Conference at New Delhi. This conference featured world’s top speakers like Les Brown, Robert Kiyosaki, J T Foxx and many others.

I always knew the best investment one could ever make in his life is investment made on his personal growth. This event had been one of my best investments with insights from world’s best coaches, speakers and writers.

Mahatria Ra was one of the speakers. He is a Spiritualist and diviner of infinitheism- a path that inspires breakthroughs in anyone who ardently desires abundance in any sphere of human endeavor- spiritual, emotional and material.

Mahatria Ra’s session of one and half was one of the sessions I have never heard before of. Out of his many invaluable ideas one that touched me and ran through my blood is the question Here to where?

When we look back at our life and if we had started from nothing and became world renowned for one work we call ourselves a successful. Yes it’s indeed is a success. Whole world now applaud for your work and bows to you. You have achieved much in your life in very early days of your life. But is that all you could do? or is that where your growth stops? Are you okay with people celebrating your one work and you stop thinking of any thing new?

Mark Juckerberg started Facebook from nothing. That’s great! We will keep thanking him for wonderful site. He came from where to here- Nothing to Facebook. But that’s a matter of past. It’s been a decade that he founded Facebook. Now the question to ask is not that he stood from Nothing to Facebook but where from Facebook. Here to where?

Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister  came from very humble beginnings. He worked on his father’s tea stall and now he is a Prime Minister. But that’s not where his potential ends and that’s not where he should stop at. He has come here from very minimum advantages and facilities but now he have everything to go wherever he want and whatever he want. But until he expect more from himself he will feel proud his whole life being prime minister of country from nothing. The question again he should ask to oneself is Here to where not where to here?

If you were gold medalist in your university, great! You engraved your name. But do you expect to get applause your whole life and stop putting extra efforts in your job just because of your past achievement. Again ask yourself Here to where?

People are too attached with their position and too happy with that. Gym trainers are so happy with their possession of their position that they stop doing gym and are happy making people run on treadmill. Teachers are so happy being called teachers and teach same thing every year and they stop broadening their minds with new updates and studying even more. This is attachment with position not with the work.

Never let short term success to feed your ego and stop your growth. Let them be your motivation for a bigger picture. Don’t get too attached with possession brought about by game but enjoy your game. Be on game. If we start enjoying possession we will stop enjoying our work and it will sabotage our value. If we could come up to our current level from nothing or very less advantage, Imagine where we could be with advantage we have right now. We have infinite potential and we can only make use of it if we expect more of ourselves and stay hungry for more.  But, when satisfaction starts dominating forget about growth.

Asking: A Monumental Success Strategy

I just kept doing big things,
then asking for promotions once I did them. Doing, asking, doing, asking.
-Danille LaPorte

I am on the verge of completing my summer internship in this totally new place. I encountered many amazing peoples to spend time and had been able to learn a lot from them. It’s been enthralling holiday here with much learning and exploring.

Last week, I won Toastmaster Noida chapter’s Best table topics speaker. With this I bagged this title two weeks in a row. I love exploring and welcoming opportunities into my life. I spoke about importance of being an explorer in my last post. Today I am writing this yet another highly valuable post on power of asking.
How often do you ask for the things you need with someone who owns it? It could be asking for materialistic help or ideological one. For e.g. asking to help you in solving those difficult mathematics problems or offering you to work with the person who is proficient in skill you want to learn or maybe asking to lend a book or giving you lift on the way. Have you ever realized that your friend or someone you know ask for things straight and gets ahead in life and achieve even bigger success? Do you remember any circumstance or any opportunity you missed just because you feared of asking or placing your request to the concerned person? Remember that biggest opportunity you spoiled just because you didn’t spoke to your teacher, boss, parents or even strangers.

I realized the power of asking last year and had been able to enjoy many opportunities and experiences. I used to be the one who feared a lot in asking for help from people who could help me. I was afraid in calling customer care numbers and ask for assistance in my mobile network or laptop. I was afraid in asking for lift with strangers on way. I was afraid on asking teachers to make me understand the subject I found difficult. The frequently coming limiting thoughts within my mind before I was able to present myself in-front of the person or place were (in the sequence of major contributing thoughts):
1) What if he rejected?
2) What will he think of me?
3) What if he became angry and insulted me?
4) I will ask it later this afternoon or next morning.
5) I will request one of my friends to do this for me.
 6) Do I really want this?
7) I wish he come to me and offer it.

These thoughts virtually blocked many opportunities. I realized this and wanted to sort this out. I imagined what if I could go ahead and ask for whatever I needed without any fear and limitations. I saw boundless opportunities on my imagination. I started reading articles on how to ask politely for help and read Dale Carnegie’s book How to win friends and influence people and Jack Canfield’s The Aladdin Factor. I started small and started asking for smaller things. I started by asking for lift with strangers. Surprisingly, I got and guess what? I made them my friends by praising them of their kindness. Eventually, I built my confidence and grew stronger every often. Later, I applied this simple principle of asking in other areas of my life. I got many things like the way I wanted most of the times and fewer times I was rejected as well. It felt worse to be rejected in the beginning. I felt like I was torn down by that big NO. But with time I learned to accept it as the part of game. The only thought that keeps me consoling for being rejected is: The chances of getting help would have been reduced by 100% had I refused to ask but by asking I increased the probability of getting it by 50%. It’s just simple mathematical logic. Isn’t it really cool? Now I am in a win-win situation. If I get help that would be wonderful and even if don’t, I lose nothing.  What’s loss in asking? Why should I fear on asking what I wanted? If he is pleased to offer help that’s great if he denies no worries, move ahead and ask someone else, but don’t get static. Being static causes no growth because all the progress lies in dynamism.

Why should I start habit of asking?
By starting to ask for help or things you need you will multiply your chances of achieving your goals. You will realize that much more opportunities are coming your way when you start getting YES for whatever you ask. If you go and ask for what you want straight with person who you think is a potential helper might deliver you even more than you wanted. For example, you asked a person for a book on personal development he might have got many CDs and books and maybe he will suggest you to attend seminars going in your town on the same topic. You can imagine you just asked for a book and you got unexpected resources to utilize for your self-growth. Similar incident happened with me last week in toastmaster’s meeting. I talked to a lady who has got very impressive speaking skills and talked of meditation on her speech. Once she took back her seat I asked her to explain me the meditation technique she followed and she was more than happy on sharing it with me. Besides, she offered me a book on meditation and invited me on yearly yoga and meditation camp run by her meditation center. It’s totally free for me. It all just happened because I asked her. I asked and got more than I have ever imagined. May be many of people in the room wanted to ask her about the same but they didn’t and you already know what they missed. It’s simple, more you ask the more you get.

There is always vast resource or mines of information around us which we can utilize for our benefit. But we have to ask before we can own them. If you wait for someone to come and offer it to you, there are chances that you will never get them. If you want to know something ask questions after questions until and unless you feel that you quenched your thirst of curiosity. You will then soon gain unshakeable confidence and unstoppable momentum. You will broaden your wish list and start making bigger plans and will ask for bigger helps. And you already know that bigger dreams and bigger plan leads to bigger success. You always wanted that right? Well, start asking then. Start small.

What if I hear NO?
I already said its part of the game. You must be ready to accept both side of coin when you tossed it in the air though you pray endlessly for one side to turn. Log on to your dictionary in brain and drag the word NO from negative word list to positive one. And edit it as abbreviated form of “Next Opportunity”. It would be much easier on going further when you start accepting NOs as well. But it’s not the end point; it’s not where you stop yourself from getting ahead in life rather it’s the beginning. You don’t have to turn yourself down or feel guilty when you hear no, Not at all. Because you lost nothing.

When you hear no, don’t stop yourself but promise yourself that you will ultimately get a YES. Just like a kid who never stops until you handle them what they wanted. They do almost everything to get what they wanted. They shout, cry, promise and request hundred times before you feel that they truly wanted and offer them what they wanted. Apply same principle here, request one more time when you feel that it’s all over now. Give him more reliable reasons why you wanted that. Maybe the person changes his mind. When you ask same thing several times it makes him feel that you are truly in need and will consider giving you because he also doesn’t want to look bad after all.

How to ask then?
Is there any specific way to ask for what I wanted? Might not be universal but YES.
Everyone loves sweet coated pills. So why not prepare and deliver the same pill for asking what you need. Use your politeness and show your confidence while asking. Don’t hesitate to place your orders. Make the person clear about what you wanted. The chances of getting what you want depend on how you ask. You may like to start by praising their work and telling them how much you adore their work. For e.g. if you want to know how a person started his business and been to this level of success. He will not answer you open heartedly if you ask how you had all this success I also want to be like you.

But if you say I really love your hard work and success you achieved is unmatchable. I wish I was as half good as you are. Would you mind sharing me your story of starting business and struggles you faced along your way? He would give you information and ideas more than you ever needed because you coated your query with kind words and respect for him. Everyone of us are hungry for being valued and being respected.

Similarly, the mood of person plays another role. If you go and ask for what you needed when he just ended fighting with someone, you will get a straight, big NO. So wait a bit till he gets his calm and happy mood. When a person is happy, the chance of getting YES is easy.

I sometimes love getting help by helping them first. When I have to ask for something with tough people I start by winning their heart first. For this I help them with their job even when they don’t ask me to. Or sometimes I help their kids with homework. I just make them feel that I am also of use for them. Once you could win their trust and heart ask for everything you can, its straight yes every time.

Never assume that you might not get or the person will reject. Don’t limit yourself with your assumptions, live on reality and ask for whatever you want. You will then get it. This is the power of asking.

Happy asking!

Why Being An Explorer Is So Important?

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
― André Gide

“We need the tonic of wildness...At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”

― Henry David Thoreau

Life is too short to be living within limits and boundaries. Living within some boundaries means you are missing most of your life.  As Jack Canfield described in one of his books, “Don’t be as dumb as an Elephant.” He cited, a baby elephant is trained at birth to be confined to a very small space. Its trainer ties its leg with a rope to a wooden post planted deep in the ground. This confines the baby elephant to the small area determined by length of the rope.  When the same elephant grows up into a 5-ton colossus that could easily break the rope, it doesn’t even try because it learned as a baby that it couldn’t break the rope.

May be you are holding yourself with similar kind of rope in form of thought or limitation in your brain because most of us are grown with our teachers, parents and friends who always said that success is not possible. They always laughed at us when we shared them our bigger dreams. They always said that it is impossible for us to achieve our bigger dreams. Now even after we are grown with unlimited potential and capacity we believe that we cannot achieve superstar level of success. We still hold ourselves back from walking to stage and addressing the masses, we take a back step from starting our own business and complain all life about our job, we are afraid of stepping to a person’s door and say him/her how much we love them, we are afraid of speaking the truth where we know we should be speaking for our self-growth and we still are afraid of asking for help from the person we know who has got what we want. We tattooed deep in our brain that the world is limited and we cannot achieve what we want and we are supposed to live a normal life. But the reality is different, we can be and achieve whatever we want if we believe that we can achieve.

I would like to share my own story of being an explorer and identifying many possibilities within myself which would otherwise have remained untapped and maybe I wouldn’t have been able to realize them all my life. Before I became able to speak in front of hundreds of people, I became a character to be laughed. I got goose bumps going on my body, cold blood ran my vessels and my hands and feet shook several times before I became able to conquer the stage. I failed and stood last in several speeches and I gave some really weird speeches but that’s what made me stronger; that’s what gave me an opportunity to learn new things every time. I saw a possibility within myself. I believed that someday I could speak with no fear, no goose bumps and strong still feet. Had I believed those all who laughed at my first speech or believed those who said that I couldn’t speak well in stage I would never have been able to bring several trophies, certificates and make new friends in every speaking competitions. But I believed myself; I heard only one voice, the voice that came from within, the voice that never doubted my caliber, the voice that always gave me strength and asked me to move further. I then just ignored what others blabbered about me or what they thought of me. And finally I did justice to my potential and hosted several school and college events, won many speeches and debate competitions and I am ready all the times to take stage even without any rehearsal.

Similarly, I was said I couldn’t score topper’s mark in my schooling which I proved to be wrong by topping college two years in a row; I was said I was physically weak and fragile, I explored myself and started jogging every morning and this December I am running half marathon; I was criticized for my writing now I look forward to write a book. I explore within myself and identify resources available around me to help me get what I want. I talk positive about myself, I read books on topics I want to learn, listen to podcasts and read blog posts and Google everything I need to know. You can’t abstain yourself from your success by making excuses like you don’t have time or you don’t know how. Losers and fragile hearted make excuses and victims love procrastination. Nobody is a born loser; it’s your choice to win or to be tagged a loser. You can always stand up once again and grow even stronger with more zeal and enthusiasm.

You have around you all the resources and tools you need in your journey to success. Be an explorer, go out and talk to the peoples who have already achieved what you want to achieve; ask them how they achieved and what possible difficulties they faced and how they solved them. If you need to know or learn something, find the best book or courses to learn from. Just take action, don’t sit and cry, EXPLORE don’t make excuses and don’t wait for right time, this is the best time to start. Make use of internet, take online courses, find people around the world with similar interests and share your ideas, join weekend classes. Don’t waste your every weekend on T.V, movies or computer games, dedicate some in some gatherings, motivational seminars and conferences on subject of your interest. Never say I don’t know how but say I will learn how, go beyond the boundaries, work extra hours, ask for help even to strangers they will help you too. If they reject, no worries ask someone else, don’t hesitate just speak up and ask many questions, smile and feel the positivity of world, the world is here to help you and fulfill all your needs. Why should one help you if you don’t ask for help? Why should one share you his struggle journey if you are not interested in knowing?

Success is of explorers, doers and those who neglect aspersions. Knowing what you need to know is not enough for success, you have to take actions. Let me speak you a bitter truth there is not a so called secret to success. If there’s something then it’s to take ACTION. You can’t be a business leader by just knowing how to do best business but by executing them into action and working on those ideas. Robin Sharma wisely said, “Ideation without execution is delusion”. First know everything you need to know and work harder to get what you want. Everything is then possible. You will then be a juggernaut. Sky is unlimited so keep exploring new opportunities, new skills and potential within you.

Thank you very much for reading this blog post. Feel free to share it with your friends. You can subscribe to my newsletters and like blog page in Facebook for updates and motivational posts.

Have great time being an explorer!

Why Listening To News Sucks!

I am on my peak level of performance this week. I am making time for morning exercise, meditation and also for reading and writing jobs in the evening. I feel proud of myself every night when I go for bed as I have so much to say when it asks me how you spent your day; otherwise I would have felt guilt for wasting another golden day of my life.

I hope my articles are helping you improve in one way or other….

This blog post is another rare and powerful bullet shot in your belief that you must listen to news in order to stay updated of what’s going around the world. At the same time you are unaware of fact that how exactly listening, watching or reading news is hindering your success and robbing your life from yourself. I can assure you that after reading this post you will not want listening to the news and would be very selective while listening to the news.

What do you see in news? Let say, for instance newspaper, front page of political hate speech between leaders, government’s failure in completing the projects, parliament’s unsuccessful meeting, death of some celebrity or leader and raged people’s strike. As you turn pages you will see number of news on murder, rape, bomb blasts, sexual harassment and assault, flood, child labour, malnutrition, pollution, environmental deterioration, failure of technology, plane crash, fire, bankruptcy, corruption and a few pages supplement of celebrity scandals. This repeats almost every day; if anything changes then it’s the name of victim or criminal and place of incident. Similar is case in digital media; broadcast of all these negative news. Now you must be thinking what’s wrong in this? Well, keep calm I will explain you.

1.      News plant seed of negativity:
Most of the highlighted news (more than ninety percent) are negative as cited above. When you constantly feed your brain with these negative fodders you can’t expect to think positive because you be, act and behave what you see and listen most of the times. You eventually will be pessimistic of your life and goals because you just read news of failure, betrayal and bankruptcy. You start thinking and behaving in the way that this world is full of negative peoples with negative intension and they could harm you anytime versus this world have vast opportunities with amazing peoples and potential friends who can help you even without knowing you. If you let this seed grow within you by watering them every single day with negative news you are bound to be most negative person in the block.

2.      News loot your emotion:
News has become nothing more than a commodity sold to the masses to make them believe what news media want them to believe. And you do exactly the same; you simply trust what they say and give all your emotions to news. When you listen to news of murder, rape and blast killing hundreds of people you feel sad, angry, depressed and disappointed. Negative emotions are growing inside you simply means some chemicals are released in body. For e.g. when you are angry, Adrenaline is released which causes your heart beat surge and rise in blood pressure while release of mood boosting chemicals like serotonin is decreased.  You feel a sense of fear when you hear news of murder in your city. You feel emotionally very low and cultivate negative emotions within you which have detrimental effect on your body and your level of performance. You are killing yourself inside. You are stiffening your heart with fear, anger and rage. Please lock my following words in your mind: whatever happens around this world could neither be changed by your emotion nor you could do anything about the blast in Iraq or murder in your town so why the hell are you giving yourself a slow death by listening them? Go ahead and stop watching or reading such devastating news for the sake of your life and emotions.

3.      News robs your most productive time:
Morning is the most productive time of day with very minimum distraction and high flow of creativity. You can’t afford to waste such beautiful moment by reading newspaper full of tragedy or watching news carefully designed with motive to sell their tragic story and attract public attention. When you start your day by absorbing news which creates fear, anger and negative emotions how can you imagine a wonderful day ahead? And if you check fifteen minute news during day you will take another 45 minutes to focus back on your job. You are entirely wasting time for things that has got nothing to do with your personal growth. Rather read autobiographies of successful personality, Personal growth and self-help books that fill your brain with motivation and help you jump start your day.

4.      News divide people and induce war:
I have seen people who fight among themselves and get divided when news of ongoing verbal war between two leaders get surfaced. They abuse each other and indulge in totally worthless altercation and even break each other’s jaw. If same thing happens between two countries atom bomb starts falling in no time. Fights between races, religions, caste, creed or origin are induced by news where thousands of innocents are killed. For e.g. if one Muslim kills a Hindu in any part of country the news serve as inciting agent to raise tension among Hindu and Muslim all over the country and it turns out to be a battlefield.

 What’s the solution then?
Avoid news. Yes! That’s right. You might have heard that most of successful players and teams avoid news in any form just before their match so that they can deliver their best performance. You might be thinking that I will miss many things if I avoid news. But you can’t know everything even after watching news. If anything important happens that you must know you will get to know; someone will definitely discuss in your school or office or even may give you a call. People watching news loves discussing news so you will not left behind in any way.
Next, only read or search the news that matters. Subscribe to news you only want to hear or directly go to Google and type news you need. For e.g. If you are a cricket or football freak go to sports site or magazine, don’t pick daily newspaper or wait till end on TV news show to see all negative news. Rolf Dobelli, a Swiss author once wrote, less news you consume, the higher the advantage you have.  Be very selective on news you listen and newspaper and magazine you subscribe. This way you will only feed positive emotion and release higher amount of serotonin which keeps you happy and positive. After all why should you care why are your leaders fighting? Or what’s your advantage if Katy Perry just broke with her fiancée or Messi is on holiday with his girlfriend. The crimes aren’t going to stop by you watching news or avoiding them, they will be the way they are. So I don’t see any point on consuming these news junk.

I hope this article have been of great value to you. I can’t stop thanking you for reading this article and sending those amazing feedbacks. Please don’t forget to share this on Facebook, Google plus and Twitter.

Please keep sending your feedback as I am eagerly waiting to hear you back.

With all green lights on,

Scientist’s way of success Unmasked

This Sunday morning I am here at my friend’s place in beautiful town of Noida, India. I fell in love with this enthralling city with all beauty and best possible amenities.

I just came back from Osho meditation center down the road where I learned and practiced Dynamic meditation. I never thought it would be such rewarding and relaxing. I enjoyed it a lot and loved the way positivity ran all my nerves and spiritual orgasm I felt. My deepest and sincere gratitude to the lady who helped me learn it in best possible way.

Today, I have a very special post for you which will be of great value in your journey to success. I put a tremendous amount of effort to bring this post to you.

It’s been a week since I started interning at a company. The people I associate all day long are research scientists. I feel very happy and privileged for getting rare opportunity to associate with them. I always wanted to surround myself with a bunch of great people. Why? Because I always knew the fact that “You will dream, behave and be like the people with whom you spend most of your time”. I also knew that if you are the smartest person in the room, it’s time for you to change the room. It simply means to seek and build solid circle of people from whom you can always learn. Once you associate or have great peoples surrounding you, you will always get to learn, broaden your mind and grow. Five scientists whom I learn from are working together in a chemical research and development company for a project; I have very minutely observed these scientists and penned down their habits so that anyone could learn from them. Here goes the list:

1.      They are passionate: I have never heard these people complaining about their job or the work they have to do, not even once. Nor I have seen them watching the clock to strike 6 so that they can leave for home. They all work with a big smile and curiosity. I wondered how come these people never complain and just keep doing their job and I got answer within myself, its passion that make these people keep going. They are all motivated by their passion and love with chemicals. They love reacting chemicals up and watch every reaction very inquisitively just like a high school student does in his first day at chemistry lab. It feels like they will never be tired of doing their job even in million years. They find every single bit of moment is filled with joy and are more than happy serving their passion. This behavior of these people regarding work suggests any of us to follow our passion and go with it wholeheartedly.

2.      They are irrestible: Watching these people work even in lunch time or tea break is not a big issue. They want to do more and learn more. They are never tired of doing their job and are in love with it. They use every second of their job to create, innovate and improve their craft. When you see them working with all these dedication and motivation you will learn nothing but to be the one who give no excuses but takes action, to be the one who don’t complain but delivers result and to be the one who loves his work and work real hard to quench his thirst of knowledge. No matter how many books you read or videos you watch on success, you will NEVER SUCCEED until you turn these ideas to action. So second secret is to be workaholic!

3.      They talk politics and entertainment less often and innovation very frequently: When I join them in their cabin, what I hear all is about innovation, ideas and ways to improve their work. They don’t care whom Rihanna is recently dating or what did PM said defending his minister. These things have got nothing to do with them and they believe it’s either entertainment or success; you can’t have them both at the same time. You have to sacrifice one for the sake of other and it’s up to you which one you are willing to take.

4.      They focus on their work monomaniacally: Most people find it very difficult to focus on their work and become victim of distraction very easily. And the one who has guts to say NO to distraction and yes to work are ultimate achievers. When I am in lab with scientists I find them guided by one motivation and it is to deliver the product of highest quality and purity and that’s even before the deadline. They are willing to put all the efforts possible to make their work world class and commendable. They are not distracted easily nor involve themselves in unproductive talks. They know value of time and make use of every single moment of it. One most important quality I observed in them is they focus on only one work at one time until they master it and achieve the success they wanted.

5.      They are risk takers: It is well said that, “when you stop taking risks, you stop living life.” Those who take risk and push every often a bit more harder beyond the boundary is likely to achieve exceptional results over time. Hence, another priceless habit I observed being in company of scientists is to take risk. If you are afraid of taking risk and moving from where you are to where you want to be you will never grow and will stuck with the place, job, work and life you never wanted. So please go ahead and take risk.

6.      They never give up and are optimistic: Yes! You read it right. They never give up on their job until they produce the result. If their plan or technique fails they go through the minute details and find out what exactly went wrong and fix them right away. They are always optimistic about           their job and work and always are visionary. They always respect innovation and listen to new ideas very carefully and brainstorm about the topic. They are hungry for knowledge, they never feel that they know everything and are always open to learn and discover. Please remember that, the day you think you know everything is the day you stop learning.
